We did post surgery MLD which is very gentle technique to move fluid towards the lymph nodes. Goal of MLD is to provide relief and also to advance healing process; as the fluid builds up it can cause lymph stasis which can continue to get harder overtime and lead to start of fibrosis. MLD post tummy tuck should be gentle to avoid reopening incisions, so our clients leave with information about wound healing, infection prevention and proper positioning post surgery.
